The opportunity

We are delivering the Requirements Management and V&V streams for several major rail programmes in the UK and Internationally. We currently have an immediate need for additional Requirements and V&V engineers, preferably with experience in rail.

The Requirements Sets and associated Verification & Validation Matrices (VVM) you will help develop will support the design, integration, test and commissioning activities and ultimately enable compliance to be demonstrated as a cornerstone of our Systems Assurance activities.


Responsibilities

  • Requirements engineering and management including deriving and developing requirements from stakeholder sources, allocating and apportioning system requirements to subsystems, implementing traceability

  • Verification & Validation management including development and management of the Verification & Validation Matrix, compliance management

  • Support to other systems engineering streams


About you

  • Thorough understanding of Systems Engineering principles, lifecycle and processes

  • Relevant engineering degree

  • Relevant professional qualifications (CEng, MIET, MINCOSE, ASEP, CSEP) or equivalent

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Requirements and V&V role

  • Previous experience of working on large infrastructure projects, rail experience is an advantage

  • Experienced user of IBM Rational DOORS and/or DOORS NG

  • Experience of IBM Rational Quality Manager would be an advantage

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
