The opportunity

We are delivering the Turnkey Engineering and Operations solutions for several major rail programmes in the UK and Internationally. We currently have an immediate need for additional Systems Assurance Engineers and Lead Auditors, both Project Office based and Field Assurance Monitoring and Surveillance (All disciplines), preferably with experience in Metro or Mainline railways (new build and upgrade);

  • Stations (Underground and Over-ground)

  • Overhead Line Electrification (DC and AC, high speed / metro)

  • Track

  • Civils / Structures (inc. Tunnels)

  • Tunnel Ventilation Systems

  • Electrical & Mechanical Systems

  • Signalling Systems (inc ERTMS / ETCS / CBTC)

  • Communication Systems / SCADA (Vital / non-Vital, Voice / Data)

  • Rolling Stock (Light and Heavy Rail Vehicles)

  • Depots

  • Whole Railway System.

As a member of our Systems Assurance team you will be well versed in the requirements of BS/ISO/IEC/IEE 15288, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 9000 so that you can significantly contribute to the Systems Assurance activities. 


  • Prepare Project Assurance Plans

  • Prepare Quality Plans and Processes

  • Internal or Lead Auditor – Design Engineering / Systems Engineering 

  • Management and delivery of Risk Based Intrusion Audit Programme 

  • Developing, managing and monitoring assurance deliverables trackers 

  • Field Assurance monitoring and surveillance activities Document and Change control 

  • Design and Product Assurance 

  • Procurement Assurance 

  • Construction & Installation Assurance 

  • Testing & Commissioning Assurance

  • Identification and management control of Non-conformances

About you

  • Thorough understanding of Railway Systems Assurance and Systems Engineering principles

  • Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor - minimum 5 years’ experience

  • Relevant engineering degree and/or professional qualifications or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in a Systems Assurance role 

  • Previous experience of working on large Metro or Mainline railway programmes

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work both collaboratively and alone

  • Operational experience of railways
