SEMP Earns a Seat on the Department for Transport’s STARThree Framework

We’ve earned a coveted spot on the UK’s Department for Transport (DfT) Specialist Technical Advisory for Rail and Other Transport Systems (STARThree) Framework. This is landmark recognition of our proven track record in delivering successful infrastructure projects and our steadfast commitment to offering the necessary expertise, tools, and methodologies required for project success.

The STARThree Framework comes in three distinct levels – Prime, Medium and Expert. SEMP proudly finds itself positioned at the Medium level, a category only occupied by two industry players, which illustrates the scale of this accomplishment. This placement emphasizes the massive opportunity ahead.

Our Resource Manager attended in the STARThree Framework’s launch event. This was a forum buzzing with promise and discussions focused on the critical role of collaboration and inclusion in the SME community. The dialogue that ensued was a testament to the diverse and collaborative environment STARThree seeks to cultivate – an environment we’re eager to be part of.

The STARThree Framework equips the DfT, its associated agencies and public bodies, with top-notch industry expertise. It offers specialized technical and commercial advisory services for significant projects and programs across various transport modes. SEMP’s inclusion on this influential platform highlights our leadership position in global Systems Engineering.

Achieving this placement within the STARThree Framework was made possible by our team’s diligence, proven capabilities, and unwavering commitment to our clients. We look forward to joining forces with the DfT and our industry colleagues to make a positive impact on the sector. Our global expertise, custom systems approach, and comprehension of international standards and regulations are poised to deliver lean, replicable, and cost-effective solutions, offering stakeholder satisfaction and excellent value for money.

Our dedication to exceeding our stakeholders’ expectations is further solidified by this milestone. It continues to empower us to work intimately with government and partner organizations, driving forward the future of the rail and broader transport sectors.

SEMP is deeply invested in cultivating a diverse supply chain. This aligns with the DfT’s SME agenda that encourages 40% of fees to be earned by SMEs. This commitment allows us to contribute to both project success and our clients’ social value priorities.

As we look to the future, we’re thrilled about the opportunity to embark on upcoming projects, partnering with the Department and the framework community. Our risk-based approach will continue to create resilient infrastructure solutions. Here’s to a future filled with innovation, collaboration, and mutual success.
